DESCRIPTION:
French, 8-day time/strike figural mantel clock, young couple in the garden, C. 1870
CONDITION:
Gilt and marble case in nicely restored condition. All the cast pieces on the case have been gold plated which makes for a very bright finish. These pieces were most likely fire gilded originally which creates a much more toned down and attractive look. Original porcelain dial has a hairline crack at 2 o'clock. Hands are original. Ht. 14"
